Makabu ready to defend WBC cruiserweight title

World Boxing Council cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu will return to the ring to face former world champion Badou Jack, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 26, on a card that will headline Jacke Paul vs. Tommy Fury bout.

The Congo-born champion defended his WBC crown against Thabiso Mchunu in January of last year.
Badou, from Sweden, since suffering two losses against Marcus Browne and Jean Pascal at light heavyweight, moved up the division getting victories and demonstrating the quality that led him to be world champion.
