Lulú Juárez defends WBC super flyweight crown against Luz Elena Aguilar

Lourdes Juárez (33-2, 4 KOs) defended the super flyweight title of the World Boxing Council by defeating the brave challenger Luz Elena Aguilar (7-3-1, 1 KO) by unanimous decision.

Lulu got the victory with cards of 99-91, 98-92 and 99-91 to defend her crown for the second time against a rival who forced her at all times, to perform to her best.

The third round was exciting, as the challenger took the champion to the ropes.

Given Luz Elena’s aggressiveness, Lulú worked at distance, throwing combinations from middle distance, avoiding being static, via constant movement.
