Lourdes Juárez wins WBC light flyweight title

Mexican Lourdes “La Pequeña Lulú” Juárez became the new light flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council, by defeating compatriot Yesenia “La Niña” Gómez via decision, in one of the main and best fights of a card that took place in Quintana Roo, Mexico.

As expected and keenly anticipated, the rematch between “La Pequeña Lulú” Juárez and “La Niña” Gómez brought out and subsequently resulted in a true tune war of note. It was a Showcase.

No quarter asked nor given. With pride and the Green and Gold Prize at stake, strategy coupled with grim determination and total focus, proved the unlocking to the victory of the capital city Amazon, who won her second world crown in different divisions. Both fought their heart out!

After ten intense and thrilling  stanzas, the Judges determined that there was no doubt about her victory in the scores. The exchange of blows was intense, fierce, unremitting and dramatic, round by round. A veritable Thriller.
