Welterweight prospect Alexis “Lex” Rocha (15-0, 10 KOs) declares the WBC Americas Continental Welterweight title: “Is mine,” in the face of Brad “King” Solomon (28-2, 16 KOs).
It’s a 10 rounds match as part of the Garcia vs. Fonseca card, which will be held tomorrow at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, and will be broadcast live exclusively on DAZN.
Rocha is a southpaw from Santa Ana, California, 22, and is widely recognized as one of the best prospects in welterweight division.
Since his debut in 2016, Rocha has steadily risen to become one of the strongest prospects. After defending his belt against fighters such as Berlin Abreu and Roberto Valenzuela Jr., Rocha will seek to pass the toughest test of his career so far when facing the difficult contender Solomon.
Solomon is a 36-year-old contender from Lafayette, Lousiana, who was a leading amateur boxer before debuting as a professional in 2008. In addition to winning several Golden Gloves titles, Solomon also has an amateur victory over Javier Molina.
As a professional, he defeated tough fighters Freddy “The Rail” Hernández and Adrián “El Tigre” Granados. Solomon comes from a defeat against Vergil Ortiz Jr. in what was an entertaining fight. Now he will seek to perform appreciably better against Rocha.
