The Presidents of the WBC, WBO and the IBF have presented Lennox Lewis with a special award for his outstanding contribution to Boxing.
This happened at the World Boxing Council’s 62nd Convention in Hamburg at the Gala Dinner in the Grand Elysee Hotel.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said Lennox was an outstanding Champion and since his retirement he has lived like a champion, establishing his own charitable foundation helping young people realize and fulfill their potential.
Concerning the pending rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, Lennox paused his departure from the dinner to say: “This is going to be a good fight. Obviously there will be different tactics which will be done. You can’t really go against Usyk because he hasn’t lost.
“Tyson Fury needs to do more boxing and get that jab going and be more effective in this second fight.”
