Law and Order Sonia Osorio reaffirms her commitment to Green and Gold!

On October 25, 2019, Sonia Osorio defeated Estrella Valverde by unanimous decision on a very special night where she managed to achieve and fulfil the dream for which she has fought since the very day she started in the sport.

The interim super flyweight champion was extremely grateful to all in the WBC, but especially to its leader, Mr. Mauricio Sulaimán, because today after almost a year, the belt that she won in a resounding way is  in her hands.

The  belt was going to be given to her in a very special ceremony.  However, these plans were altered since last March was when all activities stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Delighted to have achieved a portion of her dream, Sonia remembered  as the best of her career; However, she knows that the more fresh challenges are yet to come and that the most important thing is to stay as monarch.

Sonia, who revealed that she is recovering from COVID-19, will start training under the strict supervision of the doctor who will give her the steps to follow and thus make a spectacular return in what would be her first defense, and also seek new realms.

With the expert and wisely directed help of legendary coach Nacho Beristaín and her manager Oscar Ortiz, Sonia hopes to soon resume her activities,  and to be able to combine her career as an expert lawyer in criminal law and champion of the most important body, the WBC.

Open to all possibilities and challenges, Sonia is confident that a defense of her crown can be done very soon.
