The KO al Bullying program continues to establish itself as an invaluable social initiative, interlinked to boxing in Mexico.

Its mission is to guide children and teenagers on how to confront bullying, understand what to do when faced with it, and develop the emotional and practical tools necessary to respond effectively.

Far from being a single lecture, the program operates with a comprehensive approach. It includes training for the entire school community where the issue is identified and strengthens teachers, administrators and youth leaders with specialized knowledge focused on prevention, early detection and intervention.
Between 2023 and 2025, growth has been steady and measurable:
• In 2023, 10 schools were reached, impacting 2,000 students and educators, with the participation of 4 boxers.
• In 2024, the program expanded to 15 schools and 2,500 beneficiaries, with 6 participating boxers.
• By 2025, the projection exceeds 20 schools, more than 3,500 direct beneficiaries and at least 8 boxers involved.

This sustained and encouraging increase, reflects not only geographic expansion, but deeper intervention and consolidation of the psycho- educational and sports-based model, implemented as a preventive tool.
The program has incorporated teacher training conferences, strengthened early identification of risk behaviors and expanded into public and private institutions at the elementary, middle school, high school and university levels.

Active participation from professional boxers has been essential, serving as inspirational figures who deliver the message directly in classrooms.

KO al Bullying has operated consistently for several years thanks to the dedication of Beka Romero, the support of WBC Cares México, and the commitment of champions and former champions who have chosen to use their voices as instruments of social transformation.

Special recognition goes to Christiane Manzur, President of WBC Cares México, whose leadership has been fundamental in structuring, strengthening and expanding the program nationwide.

The program’s progressive growth proves that boxing not only creates champions inside the ring, but also leaders capable of building healthier, more conscious and more resilient school environments.
