King Carlos Promotions presents an extravaganza adorning the framework trappings of the Independence Celebrations of Mexico
King Carlos Promotions is a company that promotes boxing and was born during the most painful and agonizing pangs of the Covid-19 pandemic, which continues to ravage the entire world.
However, the passion, dedication, sense of duty, unity and sheer hard work of this promoter guided by former world champion Carlos Molina, has already achieved two successful shows, in spite of the strictures of this harsh new era.
Normally on the dates close to September 16, big cards unfold mainly on the decks of Las Vegas, with “Canelo” Álvarez the one who takes the baton as the star fighter on this important date, but this time he will not fight.
King Carlos Promotions did not want such a special date for boxing to go unnoticed. That`s precisely why this coming September 12, commemorating another anniversary of the independence of Mexico, there will be an attractive card of 6 fights, from Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, adhering to all health measures and following government and the World Boxing Council protocols.
In the main event, Carlos “King” Molina (32-11-2, 11 Kos) will face Hector Manuel Zepeda (19-1-0, 5 Kos) at middleweight. Molina is coming off scoring a decision win last July over Abraham Juarez, while Zepeda is coming off a major win over previously undefeated Mario Israel Vera in March of this year.
In a super lightweight fight, Adrián “Diamante” Estrella (29-5-0, 24 Kos) will face Guadalupe “Bronco” Rosales (38-26-0, 20 Kos).
In a 10-round super welterweight bout, Alejandro “Pajaro” Dávila (21-1-2, 8 KOs), who in two months has achieved two consecutive victories, will face Juan Carlos Pacheco (15-18, 7 KO’s).
The WBC International Champion Jaky Calvo (12-5-2,1 KO), will face Eloisa Martinez (2-9-3) in 6 rounds at bantamweight.
At lightweight and over 10 rounds, North American Russell Fiore (24-2-1, 17 Kos) will face undefeated Mexican knockout artist Cristian Santiago Vázquez (14-0-1, 13 Kos). To end this great card, prospects Cristian Santiago Vázquez and Julio César Maciel will debut in super featherweight Division, at 4 rounds.
It should be noted that in this card the WBC remote scoring system will be worked officially, so the scores derived from the judges who will be in different places will be the official ones for all the bouts.
This novel system was conceived two years ago and was put into practice as a training and evaluation tool for ring officials. However, given the current health situation it has been used as an efficient alternative to reduce the number of people in boxing events, maximizing safety.
The World Boxing Council will deliver a miniature replica of the Mazahua-Otomi belt commemorating this important national date and recognizing the great work that Carlos is doing for the Mexican boxing community.
You can follow this card through the FITE TV, GSS and VIVE TV platforms.
