Ken Shiro retains WBC light flyweight belt

Unbeaten WBC light flyweight champion,  Ken Shiro (15-0, 8 Kos),  kept his belt defeating  Mexican Saul Juarez (24-9-2, 13 Kos) by unanimous decision,  at the Ota-City Gymnasium in Tokyo, earlier today.

Judges Steve Morrow (USA)scored the fight 120-108, while Judges Perla Rodriguez (USA) and Jun Bae Lim (South Korea) scored it 119-109.

Shiro who was making the fifth defense of his belt, dominated from the opening bell,  with sporadic return fire from the Mexican. The Referee was Vic Drakulich from USA.  Shiro  improves his record to 15-0; 8 KO’s and Juarez’s record dropped to 24-9-2; 13.
