Keeping Track: Shields vs. Hammer

World champions Claressa Shields (8-0, 2 KO) and Christina Hammer (24-0, 11 KO) fight Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Both will star in the most anticipated fight of women’s boxing today. The two best middleweight champions will unify the division in a thriller that will be broadcast live on the SHOWTIME network.

The WBC recognizes the professionalism of both champions and their respective teams, since both have fully complied with  all the medical requirements, exams and security protocols that are required.
