Juarez defends WBC super flyweight title

World champion Lourdes ‘La Pequeña Lulú’ Juárez will have a complicated defense of the World Boxing Council’s super flyweight title, when she faces the knockout Asley ‘Chiquita’ González on October 1 in Tepic, Nayarit.

The spectacular card is presented by Promociones del Pueblo, in association with Linaje MX Promociones; It will be broadcast throughout Latin America through the international signal of Combate Space from the Palenque of the Tepic Fair.

Juárez Trejo has achieved four wins in world title duels, defeating Guadalupe Martínez, Diana Fernández, Luz Helena Aguilar and Argentina’s Debora Vanesa Gómez; and her consolidating herself at the top of the division and as one of the best fighters of the moment.

In a defense of a high degree of difficulty, Lourdes, used to facing great opposition in her fights, is ready to face a boxer who has achieved half of her wins by way of knockout; and that she has shown her strength in each of her engagements, getting three of her last five wins by knockout.

On the same card, undefeated Mexican David ‘El General’ Cuellar will face former Panamanian World Cup contender Gilberto ‘El Cacique’ Pedroza.
