Joyce and Hammer impact!

Undefeated World Boxing Council Silver Heavyweight Champion Joe Joyce, will take on the experienced Christian Hammer at Wembley’s OVO Arena, on Saturday, in a bout to be broadcast live on BT Sport.

“The Juggernaut”, who has won 12 of his 13 fights by KO, faces Christian Hammer, in his drive to reaffirm and reinforce his aim to fight for the heavyweight world title.

This Friday both fighters were face to face at the official weigh-in.

Joyce weighed in at 265.6 pounds for his first fight since he recovered from a wrist injury that contributed to a 49-week layoff. The 2016 Olympic silver medalist has not fought since he knocked out former title challenger Carlos Takam in the sixth round at this venue.

Hammer (27-9, 17KOs) weighed in at 263 pounds. The 34-year-old fighter from Hamburg has already faced and fought Alexander Povetkin, Luis Ortiz, Tony Yoka and Frank Sanchez.
