Rising prospect Jesús Ramos Jr. will collide with Shane Mosley Jr. for the vacant WBC interim middleweight title at 160 pounds, as part of December’s main event lineup in San Antonio.
Ramos arrives in strong form with a 23-1 record and 19 knockouts, coming off stoppage wins over Guido Schramm and Jeison Rosario in 2025.
Mosley Jr., at 22-4 (12 KOs), has resurrected his career with five straight victories after a period of stagnation — his latest success coming against former champion Daniel Jacobs.
Ramos has stated that moving up to 160 pounds gives him renewed motivation, confident that the added weight will benefit his power and that his aggressive style and jab will be key to neutralizing Mosley Jr.
For Mosley Jr., this may well be the most important fight of his career. Despite criticism surrounding the sanctioning of the bout — he is ranked only 10th by the WBC — he knows a victory could transform his standing and open major opportunities.
This matchup pits a surging contender against a veteran hungry for redemption, making it a high-risk, high-reward encounter for both.
