Jessie Vargas vs. Liam Smith on the undercard of Taylor Vs Serrano

Former world champions Jessie Vargas (29-3-2, 11 KOs) and Liam Smith (30-3-1, 17 KOs) fight on Saturday, April 30th, at Madison Square Garden in New York, when Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano top the bill.

Vargas and Smith were due to meet this weekend in Phoenix, but Vargas was sick with Covid-19 so it had to be postponed.
Vargas, 32, returns after nearly two years out of the ring, since she lost a unanimous decision battle with Mikey Garcia (40-2, 30 KOs) in Texas.

Smith, 33, has been more active, seeing action three times in the last nine months. In his most recent fight he defeated his compatriot, Anthony Fowler in Liverpool.
The card is presented by Matchroom Boxing, in association with Most Valuable Promotions, and will be broadcast on DAZN.
