World Boxing Council super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo hopes that with the important victories he and his brother achieved on Saturday night in Uncasville, Connecticut, they will have proved their detractors wrong.
Jermell admits that the negative energy of the people who have criticized them has provided them with a lot of motivation during their respective careers.
Jermell Charlo (34-1, 18 KOs) defeated Jeison Rosario of the Dominican Republic (20-2-1, 14 KOs) while Jermall Charlo (31-0, 22 KOs) punished Sergiy Derevyanchenko (13-3, 10 KOs) ) to defeat him by a lop sided decision.
“I hope we have proven all the haters wrong. We saw a lot of negative comments on social media, but we went out to do our job and proved our quality and worth,” Jermell commented during a post-fight press conference.
