
Former WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal visited Mexico City to attend the Mass in honor of Don José Sulaimán 11 years after his death.
During his stay in Mexico City, he visited the WBC offices for a most welcome chat.
Jean is a fighter who has been boxing since he was 13 years old. He made his professional debut in 2005, defeating the American Justin Hahn, in the super middleweight category.
After 22 consecutive victories, he faced Carl Froch for the vacant WBC super middleweight title. Froch won the title on points by decision in an excellent fight.
His moment of consecration came on July 19, 2009, when he defeated Romanian Adrian Diaconu by unanimous decision to win the WBC light heavyweight title.
In his most recent fight in September of last year, he knocked out Terry Osias in the tenth round, showing that he is still in top condition.
