WBC super featherweight world champion, Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt, and challenger Jason Sosa, met midway midday in Los Angeles, starting a week of activities of Zanfer and Top Rank promotion.
Berchelt (36-1-0, 32 ko’s) will defend his belt for the sixth time against Sosa (23-3-4, 16 ko’s) this Saturday, at the Carson football stadium, California, with styles and strategies that epicenter it as a fight of the year contender.
Berchelt represented by Mario Abraham of Max Boxing and co-promoted by Zanfer Promotions of Fernando Beltrán is a superbly conditioned boxer-puncher who comes to this contest with the mindset of a great champion.
While Sosa possess speed, and an excellent skills set, as a former 31-year-old world champion. Among his three defeats, one of them by knockout in the ninth round against Vasyl Lomachenko.
Berchelt cannot afford to slip up if he wants to take on undefeated Mexican Oscar Valdez, or unify his championship.
“We come in excellent condition and are going to have a great fight. I know the importance of this and the high level of my rival, but we are ready to fight 12 rounds of real war, ”Berchelt said.
For his part, Sosa said he respects the quality of his rival, but warns that he has the talent, experience and mentality to beat Berchelt round by round.
