Jacky Calvo Awarded Her WBC Latino Belt
During the celebration of Martes de Café, Jacky Calvo officially received her WBC Continental Latino Super Flyweight belt, a title she won with great determination last March.
What began as a promise and an intense period of preparation in the gym crystallized into an unforgettable night in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico, where Jacky proved that her discipline and the decision to change divisions were the right strategy by winning the WBC Latino Super Flyweight title.
Calvo entered the ring with unwavering determination; the jump to the super flyweight division represented a significant physical challenge, but her performance made it clear that the power and speed shown in her training translated perfectly to the actual fight.
In a display of ring dominance before her fans, the talented fighter showcased refined technique and a hunger for victory that placed her above her rival from the opening rounds. With this green and gold belt around her waist, Jacky not only fulfills the dream she had since she first put on gloves but also firmly positions herself within the WBC rankings.
The President of the WBC, after presenting the belt, commented: “Jacky, it gives me great pleasure to officially present your belt and welcome you home once again, because the WBC will always have a place for you. I hope you continue to achieve goals and keep working hard because you are an inspiration.”
The champion thanked the support: “I thank my entire team accompanying me today, the people who trust in me, and of course the WBC and Mauricio. We are going to keep working hard until we reach the goal of becoming the absolute Green and Gold world champion.”
