
Unified super bantamweight champion, undefeated Japanese Naoya “Monster” Inoue, will face Irish former world champion, southpaw TJ Doheny, in the main event of a card that will take place on Tuesday, September 3 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
“Monster” Inoue, 31 years old and with a record of 27-0, with 24 knockouts, became the undisputed super bantamweight champion by defeating Filipino Marlon Tapales, on December 26, in Japan.
Naoya Inoue’s most recent fight took place on May 6 Inoue showed off his knockout power by defeating Mexican Luis “Pantera” Nery, whom he finished in the sixth round.
This Monday, the official weigh-in took place where both warriors showed that they are in excellent condition. Inoue weighed exactly 122 pounds, while Doheny was 121.5 pounds.
The fight is organized by Ohashi Promotions and will be broadcast by Lemino for Japan and ESPN + and ESPN KNOCKOUT for the United States and Latin America.
