
Badou Johannes Gabriel Jack was born on October 31, 1983, in Stockholm, Sweden, to a Gambian father and a Swedish mother. Before turning professional, he had a distinguished amateur career, winning multiple national championships in Sweden and representing Gambia at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, where he lost in the second round.
After his Olympic stint, Jack made his professional debut in 2009. With a solid and disciplined career, he steadily rose to become a world champion in three different divisions: super middleweight, light heavyweight, and, currently, cruiserweight.
