Organized by DEF Boxing, the event took place on January 13, 2026, at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Stadium before a passionate home crowd. Lam imposed his rhythm from the start, utilizing refined technique and precise punching to neutralize Sasaki’s constant pressure. After ten intense rounds, the judges scored the bout 97-93, 96-94, and 97-93 in favor of Lam, who claims the Silver belt of the OPBF, an organization affiliated with the WBC.
