In spite of a swollen right hand, WBC world champion Tina Rupprecht fought through the pain and it was not in vain, because she successfully defended her WBC straw-weight world title against Rocio Gaspar of Peru via a clear unanimous decision.
Born in Augsburg and fighting with the regal confidence of a neighboring Hapsburg, the straw weight monarch is spinning it into gold, making hay while the sun shines! She has already set her sights on her next opponents to harvest a windfall and earn her corn, by becoming undisputed champion, while extending her reign.
It has always been her dream to fight in the USA, as the sport is even more prominent there than in Europe. Tina Rupprecht states there’s a good chance for all the more next year. She and her team have started the talks focused towards 2023.
After winning this important fight, Rupprecht claimed to be very thankful with her students at the secondary school in Zusmarshausen in the district of Augsburg. She gives them physical education twice a week. “Especially the younger ones always get excited when I fight. They bring newspaper articles about me and tell excitedly that they’ve seen me on TV.
“I want to thank them all. I want to thank my friends my family for always supporting me on my quest towards boxing history”
