Today the world of sports is in deep mourning as Dr Alfonso Morales one of the most distinctive and iconic voices has passed away.
A majestic commentator who marked his own style in wrestling and boxing, in his very own special, unique and unforgettable style.
He won the hearts of the public with his rich voice, but also with his tremendous charisma and his masterful way of leading us to experience the actions inside the ring. He was mesmerizing!
A man who fascinated us with his narratives, transmitting in the heart of each one, his intense passion for sports. In the 80’s he went to work at Televisa where almost immediately, he was sent to cover Carlos Palomino’s fight against Wilfredo Benítez, an important and crucial moment in his career, Throughout, he shared microphones with great chroniclers Pedro Mago Septién, Jorge Alarcón Rubio, known as Sonny Alarcón and Antonio Andere. What a Team!
Everyone’s friend, a kindly man who generously and selflessly became a mentor to the new generations. At the WBC we deeply feel his departure, since he was always close to us all, to Don José and to our President Mauricio Sulaimán.
The entire WBC family thanks God for the life and times of Alfonso Morales. How glad we are that he came our way.
Goodbye, Dear Dr. Alfonso Morales!
