García and Vargas pout bout

Mikey Garcia and Jessie Vargas will face off in a welterweight duel at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas, this Saturday, February 29, live on DAZN in the United States and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.

Garcia (39-1, 30 knockouts) will make his DAZN debut with new promoter Eddie Hearn. Jessie (29-2-2, 11 knockouts) has already tasted glory as welterweight and is now looking to defeat high quality rival Mikey.

They`re  contesting the prestigious Diamond belt of the World Boxing Council, a very special recognition to commemorate stratospheric brilliance. Its elite winners include: Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins, “Canelo” Álvarez and  “Maravilla” Martínez.

Garcia and Vargas met at the Ford Center as a parting gift for the promotion  this important fight, looking a trifle sullen.
