Gabriela “Bonita” Sanchez will defend her WBC silver flyweight title for the third time, on this occasion against South African Simanegele “Smash” Hadebe.
In 2023, “Bonita” won the silver flyweight title by defeating her compatriot Angela “Chiquita” Nolasco. The scorecards were: 96-94, 96-94 and 95-95.
She knocked out Valeria Perez in her first defense and more recently, she won by unanimous decision over Japan’s Tomoko Okuda.
Sanchez, apart from being a boxer, is in charge of the Secretariat of Youth of Puebla, Mexico, where she is originally from.
For her part, the South African is on a 9-fight winning streak. She will try to prune the
Puebla fighter of her title to become, for the first time, WBC champion.
The Mexican comes in with an 11-6 record while her opponent has a 14-3-2 record.
The card will feature more fights, the co-main event being Christopher “Pollo” Lopez vs Gustavo “Dorado” Reyes.
