Gabriela “Bonita” Sánchez Announces Rematch in Puebla at Martes de Café

At the start of the press conference, the promotional video of the fight scheduled for March 28 at the Auditorio GNP Seguros in Puebla, Mexico, was presented. There, Gabriela “Bonita” Sánchez will face Argentina’s Tamara Demarco for the WBC interim flyweight title.

The two fighters previously met on November 8, in a bout that ended in a technical draw due to a clash of heads in the second round.

Tamara Demarco took the floor and commented that what little she has experienced of Mexico, she loved. She stated that she fears nothing except headbutts and the home advantage, and announced that she will arrive in Puebla next month to complete her training camp. She said she is happy for the opportunity and assured that she comes in very well prepared.

For her part, Gabriela “Bonita” Sánchez expressed her satisfaction at having the chance to fight for the title once again. She stated that the belt will remain in Puebla and emphasized that her preparation has been solid both physically and mentally. She recalled that in the previous fight her nose was broken and, even so, she went all out, hoping that this time her opponent will be willing to fight and not back down.

Mauricio Sulaimán wished Tamara an excellent preparation and underlined his confidence that it will be a very good fight.
