Fundora overwhelms Badillo

In a flawless performance, Gabriela Fundora (16-0-0, 8 KOs) retained her undisputed flyweight championship with a seventh-round TKO victory over Mexican Marilyn Badillo (19-1-1, 3 KOs) at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.

In her first fight in 2025, Fundora, a southpaw with a 15-centimeter height and 10-centimeter reach advantage, had no trouble landing her jab and powerful hook on Badillo, who never managed to find the right distance to reach the champion.

In the seventh round, Fundora overwhelmed Badillo with a flurry of punches, punctuated by a powerful left hand that forced her to a knee. Referee Rudy Barragán saved  Badillo.
