This Tuesday in Sports and Chips, Coyocan, Southern Mexico City, the President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán, joined Ms Lorena Cuellar Cisneros, Governor of the State of Tlaxcala, to present a historic card that will be held of this beautiful state on July 27.
The impressive card is presented by Zanfer Boxing, combines with the State’s efforts to promote sport and culture. The Show will include at least 4 World Boxing Council title fights.
During this historic announcement, we were honoured with the presence of former world champion Rafael Limón, a boxer who raised the name of the state of Tlaxcala to global heights and who was also part of the Mexican army.
Rafael had a short career as amateur, but quickly marched on, and took the leap to embark upon a distinguished professional level, where he dazzled with his awesome southpaw punching power, which won him the WBC super featherweight title.
Rafael was emphatic when saying that boxing is his life and that thanks to this sport, he achieved and realized his dreams, saw the world and received the admiration of fans globally.
“I never dreamed of having a house, a car and a swimming pool. Thanks to boxing, I paid for my four children’s studies and they are all successful in life. Thanks to the World Boxing Council and Don Jose Sulaiman, I am a very happy man.”
