Francisco “Bandido” Vargas Promotes Education for Mexican Youth
Francisco “Bandido” Vargas, one of the most emblematic and battle-hardened super featherweight champions in the history of Mexican boxing, attended Martes de Café, where he discussed his current role as an instructor at the Technological Baccalaureate of Education and Sports Promotion (BTED).
The BTED is a Mexican public upper-secondary institution that offers a comprehensive educational proposal, merging academic high school studies with high-level sports training and a socio-emotional focus. This initiative by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) grants technical degrees in disciplines such as baseball, boxing, athletics, and physiotherapy, with strategic campuses in Sonora, State of Mexico, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Mexico City, and Campeche.
The BTED seeks to strengthen upper-secondary education with this sports specialization focus. For more information and to consult current calls for enrollment, you can visit:

“Bandido” serves as a boxing instructor at the Tepito campus in Mexico City, where he specializes in technical teaching. “We already have several professional fighters and a modality where housing is provided for those who live far from the campus. We have all the necessary foundations to support young people so they can complete their studies while also dedicating themselves to boxing,” the former world champion commented with pride.
