Franchon Crews-Dezurn, 9-2 (2 KOs), the World Boxing Council super middleweight champion, will defend her crown against the 2024 Mexican Olympian, Citlali Ortiz, 4-1 (1 KO).
The fight card, presented by Salita Promotions, will take place as part of the International Boxing Hall of Fame induction festivities at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in New York, and will be held this coming Friday, June 6, broadcast on dazn.com/wbc.
Franchon comes into this fight after winning the WBC crown in December 2023 by defeating Shadasia Green.
Citlali enters this fight after defeating Jordanne Garcia in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The winner of this attractive bout will take home the Freedom Belt – Juneteenth, a special recognition created by the WBC in 2021 to commemorate an important date that marks the day slavery was abolished in the United States.
Juneteenth celebrates a continuous struggle for equality, freedom, decency, human rights, and fundamental humanity, which continues to this day. June 19th is a federal holiday in the United States, and its name is derived from the combination of “June” and “nineteenth,” marking the anniversary of Major General Gordon Granger’s order on June 19, 1865, which proclaimed the freedom of slaves in Texas.
The WBC instituted the “Freedom Belt” as part of its global social responsibility campaign; it’s a special trophy to commemorate this national holiday in the United States.
