O’Shaquie Foster will defend his World Boxing Council super featherweight title against Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernández at the Benito Juárez Sports Center in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on Saturday, October 28th.
And it’ll will be broadcast live globally on DAZN.
Foster (20-2 11 KOs) earned the Green and Gold Belt in San Antonio, Texas in February, becoming the first fighter to defeat Mexican Rey Vargas on points to become world champion.
The Houston dynamo faces another Mexican opponent, in his first defense.
Hernandez (34-1, 31 KOs) earned his pot shot against Foster thanks to a blazing streak of KO victories, recording his sixth straight blast with a third-round blowout of Hector Garcia in Monterrey in July.
Both fighters sent their pre-weigh-in 7 days prior to the fight. Foster weighed 132.8 pounds, while Hernandez clocked in at 134.4 pounds.
The WBC recognizes the professionalism of both warriors for fulfilling this important commitment.
We appreciate and admire the dedicated work of William Boodhoo, who is responsible for following up on all medical requirements.
