Bullying is a silent enemy that affects not only children, but also adolescents and adults, being clear that no situation of abuse or intimidation should be kept secret, children especially are the object of mockery, virtual threats, physical harm, among many more afflictions.
In such a way that preventing it is the job of all of us who are involved in their development and be alert to the first manifestations of bullying, here I tell you 5 steps to prevent it:
1. Involve families: (We know that 30.7% of bullying victims hide their situation from their family) due to fear, lack of communication or lack of attention.
2.Incorporate educational psychologists in schools, this will help children and adolescents have a safe space where solutions and emotional support arise.
3.Reinforce emotional education: Train the ability to identify emotions, to understand cause and consequences and reinforce the link of healthy self-esteem and security.
4.Educate in the values of coexistence: Promote the values that make us better humans such as: respect, love of neighbor, empathy, solidarity among many others, contributing to creating better relationships in family, school and extra activities.
5.Promote tolerance for diversity, respect for differences, inhibition of prejudices and respect.
Finally, Teachers, Parents and anyone who is involved in the development of the child must take into account these steps to prevent bullying not only in schools but in any environment to have an environment of peace for everyone.
