Fulfilling the initiative and commitment of the World Boxing Council to extend the Clean Boxing Program to the women’s boxing, silver featherweight champion Erika Cruz, and Monserrat Alarcon, have successfully completed their registrations for the CBP.
If you have not yet registered, this is the time, because in September the random tests will begin, and if you have not registered with the program, you will be out of the WBC rankings.
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman commented: “It`s a learning process. It`s not always easy to get direct communication with the boxers` training camps and fighters. But we`re doing very well, it`ll start in September and we`re very enthusiastic about this. The purpose of the Clean Boxing Program has the specific task of providing a safe environment for fighters. There are some who could use illegal substances without actually knowing it. So it`s an education and this is the most important part of the program.
“It`s a matter that the fighters must understand, because we`re trying to help them to be safe. Every individual is one hundred percent responsible for what goes into their body.”
So… if you are a champion or you are in the top 5 positions in your division and you have not yet registered, the forms to fill are:
WBC Clean Boxing Program – Registration and Release Form
WBC Clean Boxing Program – Whereabouts Form
WBC Clean Boxing Program – Therapeutic Use Application
This form can be sent to VADA, by email to whereabouts@VADA-testing.org or by Fax at (702) 255 8420.
The CBP project aims to standardize the procedures, to provide security and safety to those who risk so much when climbing up into the ring. Knowledge is power!
