The World Boxing Council is pleased to announce the first defense of the WBC World Youth Super Welterweight Title by the undefeated Frenchman Enzo Marguerite, who will face the dangerous Venezuelan big puncher Jeremy Álvarez on Saturday, April 25th, at the spectacular Adidas Arena in Paris.
The bout is part of a high-caliber card that will be broadcast globally on DAZN, sharing the stage with prominent figures such as Bakary Samake, Ermal Hadribeaj, Lawrence Okolie, and Tony Yoka.
Enzo Marguerite (9-0, 3 KOs), the pride of Louviers, comes into this commitment, on the crest of a wave. After capturing the Youth Green and Gold Belt, in March by overcoming Mexican Oswaldo González Huerta, the 23-year-old, seeks to consolidate his status before his home crowd. Marguerite is recognized for his polished technique and his ability to dominate the tempo of the fight—a strategy that has allowed him to maintain his immaculate record.
While the Venezuelan challenger Jeremy Álvarez (12-2, 12 KOs) represents the most serious threat to the Frenchman’s reign. With a terrifying statistic—all of his victories have come by way of knockout—the 22-year-old arrives from Petare with the mission to silence Paris.
Despite coming off a period of inactivity, his blistering victory at the Poliedro de Caracas last year made it clear that his punching power is a factor that can change the destiny of any fight in a single second.
Marguerite will have the vocal support of the local fans, but Álvarez has proven on international stages, at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. This battle not only puts a world youth belt on the line but will position the winner as one of the brightest prospects in the competitive 154-pound division.
