Dina Thorslund crowned WBC bantamweight champion

This Friday at the Graakjaer Arena in Holstebro, Denmark, a great fight, showing that women’s boxing is going through a stellar era.

Undefeated Danish Dina Thorslund conquered the World Boxing Council bantamweight title by defeating Mexican Yuliahn “Cobrita” Luna by unanimous decision.
Thorslund started the match on the offensive looking to punish Luna; And although the Mexican tried to counter her attacks, most of her blows fell short.

Dina showed that she is one of the best champions of the moment. Yuliahn displayed great courage and heart as in all her fights.
With this victory, Dina added the WBC belt to her collection, since she previously held the WBO belt.
The Judges’ scores were: Mikael Hook 99-91, Giulio Piras 98-92 and Daniel Van de Wiele 97-93.
