Everything is set, ready and pending for the 130-pound Green and Gold belt to find a new owner.
During the official weigh-in ceremony, Belgian legend Delfine Persoon and rising French star Caroline Veyre fulfilled their first commitment before the scales, confirming their excellent physical condition for the vacant World Boxing Council World Super Featherweight Title bout.
Delfine Persoon alighted the scales at 127.2 lbs, while Caroline Veyre delighted at 129.4 lbs. Both warriors clocked in under the divisional limit (130 pounds), demonstrating the professionalism and rigorous preparation this high-stakes battle demands.
Delfine Persoon, a former WBC World Lightweight Champion and one of the most dominant boxers of the last decade, looks to add a new chapter to her illustrious career. For her part, Caroline Veyre displayed imposing physical strength. The French fighter, who has already held the organization’s Silver title, faces the opportunity of a lifetime against one of the greatest fighters in the history of modern women’s boxing.
The WBC World Super Featherweight Championship is one of the organization’s most prestigious titles. Tomorrow, February 10, Michigan will be the epicenter of the boxing world when Persoon’s experience and Veyre’s ambition collide in the ring.
“The weigh-in is the first victory. Now my mind is focused solely on taking that belt back home. I respect Veyre, but experience will carry the weight tomorrow.” – Delfine Persoon.
“I feel strong and ready. Making weight with ease is a reflection of my discipline. Tomorrow, the world will meet the new WBC champion.” – Caroline Veyre.
