World Boxing Council lightweight champion Delfine Persoon, 33, will defend her belt for the ninth time against tough and intrepid 35-year-old Melissa St. Vil, on Saturday night in Kortrijk, Belgium.
Persoon, who has suffered only one loss in 43 fights with 17 knockouts, comes from retaining his lightweight title beating the Kenyan Judy Waguthii, via TKO.
Melissa, who`s a former WBC champion, has 11 victories, including one by knockout and only 3 losses. In her last fight, she defeated the previously unbeaten Mayra Hernandez by unanimous decision.
Both warriors breezed through the weigh in . Persoon tipped 134.6 Lbs. pounds, while Melissa tipped 135 pounds.
