One of the Mexican boxers with a promising future, Alan David Picasso, who holds the World Boxing Council Silver super bantamweight title, will defend his crown on August 24.
Picasso, originally from Mexico City, will be part of the card that will have Floyd Mayweather as the protagonist, facing John Gotti III, at the Mexico City Arena.
Picasso’s opponent will be Armenian Azat Hovhannisyan, an experienced boxer who last fought in February 2023, when he was defeated by fLuis ‘Pantera’ Nery, in one of the best fights of the year.
Picasso, 23, has an undefeated record of 28 wins in 29 fights, winning 16 by knockout, with no losses, with one draw, while Azat Hovhannisyan, 35, has a record of 21 wins in 25 fights, winning 17 by knockout, with 4 losses and one by knockout.
