David Picasso, Proud Silver Champion

Connected via zoom, Alan David “Rey” Picasso, joined the WBC weekly press conference, celebrating his triumph of being crowned WBC super bantamweight silver champion.

Alan David “Rey” Picasso took a huge step forward and upward in his career by overwhelming Sabelo Ngebinyana last Saturday to become the new WBC Super Bantamweight Silver Champion.

The Mexican demonstrated his dominance in the fight at the iconic Arroyo Restaurant in Mexico City and achieved victory by TKO in the sixth round, after Sabelo Ngebinyana’s corner threw in the towel.

“The fact that you have achieved what you did, and that you are now in Canada attending matters regarding your bachelors degree speaks about your professionalism as a student and athlete. I know that you will always maintain your humility because your training, family, education, have helped you to become an excellent person. The WBC is very proud of you; there is a great future ahead.” stated Mauricio Sulaimán, President of the WBC.
