The two-division world champion will step into the ring for the last time in Brooklyn.
Danny “Swift” Garcia will give fans a farewell fight on Saturday, October 18, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Headlining the event titled “Farewell Brooklyn,” the American will face Daniel “Gallo” Gonzalez in a 10-round contest. Garcia has fought nine times at the Barclays Center, compiling a 7-2 record.
Regarding the card, Garcia commented: “The fans have supported me from my first fight here and Brooklyn feels like my home outside of Philadelphia… There’s nothing like a big fight night at Barclays Center. I had to do this show for the fans… to say goodbye fighting here one last time and give them a tremendous night of boxing full of young rising talent. It’s gonna be the DSG show in Brooklyn once again on October 18.”
Danny Garcia enters his final fight with a record of 37-4 and 21 KOs.
