Former World Boxing Council welterweight and super lightweight world champion Danny Garcia is ready to fight WBC champ Errol Spence Jr.
While Errol Spence Jr is considered a favorite by many, Danny is complete certainty of being crowned welterweight world champion again.
This is what he commented during an interview with Barry Holbrook
“I just make sure I’m prepared 110%, and once I’m ready, that’s all that matters,” Garcia continued. “I feel like that’s not going to work against me because I’m bigger and stronger than Mikey [Garcia],” Danny said when asked what happens if Spence stays on the outside and jabs all night like he did against Mikey Garcia.
“I’m ready for whatever he [Spence] brings to the table. That would be the regular thing to do in boxing; if someone is coming at you, you jab them. That’s basic stuff. I possess a great jab myself.”
“I have to set it up,” Danny said about his power shots. “I’m not going in there looking to land one big punch, and I’m not going in there to swing the left hook all night and try and knock him out with it.
“I’m going to be smart. I’ll figure out, make adjustments, and hit him hard when I get the chance to. We got to make sure we fight smart, make adjustments, and do what we got to do.”
