During these these discussions, Mauricio Sulaimán detailed to and shared with the Major League Baseball Chief, the carefully formulated and successfully implemented WBC health protocol that is applied throughout Mexico and all around the world.
The aim and its achievement, involved boxing cards returning, so the boxers would be active again, and getting paid for what they do best, with their safety and health, as the number one priority
MLB, for its part, implemented the bubbles to fully protect its players and staff. This is a method which was followed both in the regular season and in the playoffs.
Both leaders also referred to the vital importance of promoting the practice and participation in sport to bolster and reinforce mental health, by fostering well being. All of this during the pandemic, which is still very much with us. None of us can let our guard down!
