Absolute Athlete Responsibility
Doping is not merely a breach of sports ethics that provides an unfair advantage; in combat sports, it represents a deadly hazard. The use of illegal substances can lead to irreversible physical damage or fatal outcomes for both the user and their opponent.
“As an athlete, you have the absolute obligation to know every substance that enters your system. Your body is your territory and, therefore, your primary responsibility,” the organization reminded.
Key Points for the Boxer:
The WBC continues to lead the fight for a more humane and equitable sport, reminding the boxing community that true success is only achieved through discipline and a completely clean system.
