Due to the bad weather conditions in the state of Texas involving a large cold front that will bring a blast of polar air and on the recommendation of the State and the Boxing Commission, the card that would have been held this Saturday 5 February at the Diamond Event Center in Odessa, will reschedule for Saturday, February 19.
The second final of the Big Belt Championship tournament will have to wait just a few more days, for this first edition of the tournament presented by the promoter The Boxing Showcase with the support of the World Boxing Council.
After learning of the postponement of the date, local boxer Conrado Martínez uploaded a video to social networks to inform all the Odessa fans about the change.
Conrado will be part of the main event contesting the 118-pound Big Belt Championship against fellow Texan Dominique “Dynamite” Griffin.
Plus, Texan Dionardo “Dino” Minor will collide with Mexican Edgar “Chato” Ramírez in the heavyweight division.
In the third final on the card, Michigan’s Davelle Smith will seek the 160-pound belt when he takes on Texan Eduardo Guerra.
There will be four more fights in support of the card that is still scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and will also have the presence of the Country Whiskey Cult group, who will be an entertaining the event.
