
Former world champion Jhonny González could not find a way to decipher the complicated Jafel Perales and drew after 10 rounds.
It was main fight of the “Wellness Weekend Fight Night” show, presented by Chiquita González Boxing and Wellness Weekend, with the support of Phillips – ASSA ABLOY and Gatorade.
After the contest held in the lightweight division at the Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City, “Bombardero” González and “León” Perales drew with scores of 95-95, 99-92 and 95 -96.
From the first round, Jhonny González had to solve problems about the fighting style of his southpaw rival. Jhonny took the initiative and looked for his rival, who responded with an effective counterattack.
“León” Perales was dangerous at various times, and although Jhonny landed combinations which he sought to finish off with hooks, his opponent defended himself well.

The co-main event of the show was international, in which Christopher Manjarrez maintained his unbeaten record (5-0, 2 KOs) by defeating Japanese Riku Kitani (4-1, 1 KO) via unanimous decision in the featherweight category. Manjarrez won with scorecards of 58-57, 59-55 and 58-57.
Isaac Bustos Jr (1-0-1, 1 KO), son of former world champion Isaac “Tortas” Bustos, starred in a war with Michel Jesús Martínez (0-2-1), with whom he had a majority draw. with two cards of 38-38 and one for Martínez by 39-37, after four rounds. At times Martínez punished the face of Bustos Jr, who endured.
Meanwhile, Rogaciano Guerrero (6-1, 2 KOs) defeated Jonathan Castillo (5-2, 2 KOs) by technical knockout at 2:20 minutes of the first round, at super lightweight; and Enrique Núñez (2-2) defeated Jahir Huerta (0-3) by unanimous decision, with identical scores of 40-36, in flyweight.
The first professional fight of the night was for Brandon Velázquez (4-2-1), who knocked out Raúl Trejo (4-1-1, 2 KOs) at 1:25 of the second round, at an agreed weight of 72 kilos.
