Mexican Juan Macias Montiel will have the toughest challenge of his life when faces WBC undefeated world champion Jermall Charlo during an evening that will celebrate Juneteenth Day at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, June 19, headlining the event of Premier Boxing Champions live and direct on SHOWTIME.
SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING will kick off at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT and will be starred by one of the biggest lightweight contenders as Mexican Isaac Cruz will be battling fellow countryman and former world champion Francisco Vargas in a 10-round bout. Former world champion Angelo Leo also returns to the ring to face Mexican contender Aaron Alameda at super bantamweight.
Jermall participated in an open training session, showing that he is in optimal condition to defend his green and gold title against the powerful Mexican contender, Juan Macias Montiel.
