Jermall charlo:
“These will be fireworks. This is going to be a fight. I’m going to put on a good show in my city in front of my fans. There is no way I am letting Montiel take my world title from me.
There is zero pressure for me. I am a fighter and a professional at what I do. My legacy is at stake. So, whatever happens, I have to continue to be the best in the division. I have the finest trainer in the world in Ronnie Shields and I am so ready for this fight.
“I know Montiel will bring a great challenge and will try to knock me out. However, I will be prepared. My mental capacity has matched my physical capacity and I feel stronger than ever.
“Montiel is a pressure fighter who fights from both stances. He has power in both hands and he is going to try to fight fire with fire.
“When you are a world champion, everyone wants to defeat you. It doesn’t matter who they put in front of you. He will be fit, but I will be even faster, stronger and much smarter. My Green and Gold title is at stake, so I have to defend it at all costs. I have the opportunity to fight for my community and my people on June 19. It will be an incredible night of boxing. Don’t miss the fight.”

“I don’t see any weakness in Charlo’s boxing. He is number one for a good reason. I’m going to have to fight him the best I can. He is on top of his game and I respect what he brings.
I think I have matured since my losses. I have trained very smartly for this opportunity. I’m not going to let this opportunity slip away.
“My record speaks for itself. I love the knockout and that’s what I’m going to be looking for on June 19. I’ve been perfecting my fight plan. Power is definitely going to be the key for me.
“I have never had a training camp as long as this. We have increased the intensity and focused on getting more rest and better nutrition. Everything you might need as a fighter has gone into this training.
