Charlie Edwards will defend his flyweight title of the World Boxing Council, in the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park of Hackney Wick, London, against Spanish Angel Moreno, on March 23 with a television broadcast by Sky Sports.
Edwards claimed the WBC flyweight belt with a points victory over Nicaraguan Cristofer Rosales last December, and this will be his first defense against the Spanish challenger in his hometown.
“Moreno is a very tough fighter. He is a mature man and I know he wants my belt. This is a fight which I am very sure of winning and a fight in which I can look good. I’m looking forward to getting into the ring soon ” the champion said.
