Caroline Dubois delivered a composed and technically sharp performance, to defeat Terri Harper by unanimous decision, successfully defending her WBC lightweight world title in a high-level bout on home soil.
From the opening rounds, Dubois dictated the pace with her hand speed and pinpoint accuracy, neutralizing Harper’s experience and preventing her from finding consistent lasting answers. The champion controlled the distance, picked her shots effectively, and avoided prolonged exchanges, steadily and adeptly building a clear lead on the scorecards.
Harper, a former multi-division world champion, showed determination plus grit, but was outmaneuvered by Dubois’ tactical discipline and pervading consistency, as the undefeated champion continues to establish herself as a leading force in the lightweight division.
With this victory, Dubois not only retains the Green and Gold Belt, but further solidifies her position as a dominant champion at 135 pounds.
