This morning in the traditional “Coffee Tuesdays” former boxer Carlos “Bolillo” González received a warm tribute for his 34 years dedication to professional boxing, with a record of 55 fights won, 46 of them by fast track, 8 losses and a draw.
Carlos, who reigned as super lightweight champion, was delighted to be greeted by the WBC family.
He recalled his years in boxing with great joy, remembering Don José Sulaimán, a man who always motivated him to fight for his dreams.
Grateful to all who accompanied him in his years as a boxer, but especially to his family, Carlos received the Latin belt from the hands of the President of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaimán, and the President of the Mexico City Boxing Commission, Ciro Nucci.
His daughters, who accompanied their father on this emotional day, stated that more than a great champion inside the ribg, he has been the best father in the world, an example of struggle and perseverance who has always guided them with love.
Mauricio Sulaiman stated that these words are the most beautiful thing in sport, because champions like Carlos are the inspiration of all those young people who are starting their careers.
